Liz Blair - Liz is an MFA graduate of UNLV with 10 plus years of professional theatre experience in NYC and various regional theaters. Favorite roles include: Sally Slaton/u.s. Lucille in the First National Broadway Tour of "Parade", directed by Hal Prince, Sally Bowles in "Cabaret", at New World Repertory, Shy in "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas", at Austin Music Theatre and Sandy in "Grease", at North Shore Music Theatre. One of her passions is being a part of new works and helping to form roles that are, many times, later seen on the Broadway stage…such as Meg in "Little Women" (York Theatre), Drug Girl in "Bright Lights, Big City", directed by Michael Greif with Norbert Leo Butz(NYTW) and Josie in "They All Laughed", directed by John Randos with Laura Benanti and Roger Bart (890 Studios). Locally, Elizabeth has been seen at The Phoenix Theatre Company as: Siobhan in “The Curious Incident of Dog in the Night-time”, Fantine in “Les Miserables”, Barbara in “Shear Madness”; Southwest Shakespeare: Lady Capulet in “Romeo and Juliet” and at SMTC as Babe in “The Pajama Game”, Miss Flannery in “Thoroughly Modern Millie”, Mrs. Fezziwig in "Christmas Carol". When she's not working as an actor/singer/dancer, she can be found teaching, directing and working on the board of The Bridge Initiative. She believes in the arts as a vehicle to our shared humanity and encourages all to Dare Greatly!!!
Nicole Bond - Nicki is thrilled to be back performing. SMTC performance highlights includes: My Fair Lady, Sondheim on Sondheim, Fiddler on the Roof, Hello Dolly!, Gypsy!, A Christmas Carol. Other performances around the valley include Sweeney Todd, The Addams Family.
Hector Coris - is excited to return to the stage - pfully-Pfizered - after a long pandemic hiatus! With SMTC, he has notably appeared in many cabaret events and the musicals The Pajama Game, Man of La Mancha opposite Peter Scolari, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Producers, Guys & Dolls and 42nd Street with Debby Boone and Charles Shaughnessy, to name a few in his 9 year history with the company. Elsewhere in the valley he appeared in Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder (FHT), Silence! The Musical (Stray Cat) and ...Forum (TheaterWorks and SMTC). Originally from NYC, Hector is no stranger to the cabaret stage, having earned the 2010 MAC Award for Outstanding Vocalist of the Year for his solo show Life Is Wonderful (live recording available at CDBaby.com and iTunes). Topher George - Topher is extremely excited to take part in this new format performance with Scottsdale Musical Theater Company especially after this past year. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Topher discovered his love for music and the stage at a very early age. His past entertainment work includes performing with the Phoenix Boys Choir, Walt Disney World’s Great American Vibe, featured vocalist and contestant in Making the Band featured on ABC and MTV and has also been part of SMTC's productions of West Side Story and Annie. He has performed in various leading and supporting roles on stage and in film. Currently, Topher continues to write and record original music and is excited for the opportunity to return to the stage. .
Taylor Hogan - Taylor is overjoyed and grateful to be back on stage. Currently, she is a full time K-8th grade music teacher in addition to teaching private piano and voice lessons. She graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Acting, Summa Cum Laude. Previous roles include: Audrey (Leading Ladies/Desert Foothills Theater), Ensemble (42nd Street, West Side Story/ Scottsdale Musical Theater Company), Ross/Third Witch (Macbeth/Class 6 Theatre), Patricia (The Taming/Class 6 Theatre), Third Woman (Metamorphoses/OKCU). To continue her growth as an artist, Taylor recently participated in a week-long vocal intensive through Empower Voices Now, founded and taught by Raquel Suarez Groen (Broadway's Carlotta Giudicelli in " Phantom of the Opera") and psychotherapist and yoga/meditation instructor, Dana Guerrero. Taylor sang in masterclasses coached by Steven Lutvak (Tony award winning composer and producer of "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder") and Ben Crawford (The Phantom in "Phantom of the Opera" on Broadway). In the valley, Taylor works with voice teacher Melissa Black. Taylor would like to thank her husband, family, and friends for their constant love and encouragement.
Matt Newhard - Matt is a 3rd generation Arizona native and has performed in over 50 shows across the valley, as well as an appearance at Carnegie Hall in New York. He is proud to have been associated with this company since its inception. Most recently for SMTC, he was seen as The Padre in Man of La Mancha and Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie.
