Cast Bios

Frank Aaron (Charlie Cowell) - Frank is a familiar face around the valley with more than 100 theatre productions.  His favorite roles have been as the Kralahome in The King and I and as Cmdr Harbison in South Pacific. Frank says it has been a pleasure working with such a talented cast in The Music Man  and wants to thank director David Hock for the opportunity. When not performing Frank is the proud father of four children and two grandchildren. 

Lois Blake (Ensemble) - Lois is thrilled to be performing with David and Scottsdale Musical Theater again, having performed in A Christmas Carol. Originally from Maine, Lois
has been a music educator and part time theater performer. Happy upcoming Holidays everyone!

Nicole Bond (Witta Paroo) - Nicki is thrilled to be back performing in her 12th production with SMTC. SMTC performance highlights includes: My Fair Lady, Sondheim on Sondheim, Fiddler on the Roof, Hello Dolly!Gypsy!, A Christmas Carol. Other performances around the valley include Sweeney Todd, The Addams Family. Thanks to David, cast and crew for another wonderful experience.

Anna Marie Castaneda (Ethel Toffelmier) - Anna Marie Castaneda is thrilled to return to the stage with SMTC 's production of The Music Man! She first debuted with SMTC as Maria in Man Of La Mancha in 2019. Anna Marie graduated from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Los Angeles where she majored in Musical Theatre. You can currently find her mug on tv commercials, beauty packaging in stores, magazine ads, or buying gluten free chocolate chip muffins from AJ's marketplace. Anna Marie has recently returned to university life and is currently obtaining a B.S in Psychology.  Her greatest achievement in life... her golden child, her only son, Gabriel Michael. 

Kameron Cochrane (Ensemble) - Kameron is thrilled to be returning to the stage with Scottsdale Musical Theater Company. He was recently seen with SMTC in Man of La Mancha, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and was “Young Marley” in A Christmas Carol. Several of Kameron’s other credits include: “Simon” in 13, “Player” in Pippin, “Fagin’s Gang” in Oliver, “Flick” in A Christmas Story, “Snow Child” in Carousel, and many more. In addition to musical theater, Kameron appears in films, is a member of the Hy Rev Performance Troupe, and volunteers for several organizations. Kameron would like to thank David Hock and the entire cast and crew for this opportunity to once again join the stage with SMTC, and a special thanks to his loving family and friends for their never-ending support.

Todd Corbeil (Constable Locke) - Todd is very excited for SMTC's new home at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts. He has been in several SMTC productions, most recently as Mr. Hasler in The Pajama Game, and has performed all around the Valley. He is a graduate of ASU

Liora Danine (Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn) - Liora is excited to be back with SMTC! Most recent SMTC performances include “Mabel” in The Pajama Game, “Maggie” in 42nd Street, “Adelaide” in Guys and Dolls and “Tessie Tura” in Gypsy. Favorite roles include “Amy” in Company at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in LA, “Panacea” in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum with Nipsey Russell at Harrah’s Atlantic City, “Angel” in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas with Cabrillo Music Theater and “Tiger Lily” in Peter Pan with Fullerton Civic Light Opera. She assisted in the recreation of Bob Fosse’s original choreography in Pippin with the San Francisco Musical Theater Company and choreographed Phantom and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat for the West Valley Light Opera in Saratoga, California. Liora is also an accomplished Pole & Aerial performer who recently placed first in her division in the Pole United, Pose Sports first online competition. Love and Thanks to Devra and Byron!

Addam Donada (Marcelous Washburn) - Addam is very excited to be in his 12th show with SMTC. Favorite SMTC shows include: Man of La Mancha (Jose), The Pajama Game (Charley), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Ching Ho), A Christmas Carol (Young Scrooge), Kiss of the Spider Woman (Gabriel), Hello, Dolly! (Ambrose). Non SMTC shows: Fiddler on the Roof (Perchik), The 25th Anniversary Putnam Spelling Bee (Chip), A Very Potter Musical (Lord Voldemort), A Mid Summer Night’s Dream (Demetrius).

Olivia Gordon (Amaryllis) - Olivia is so excited to be in her first show with SMTC. She previously performed with Greasepaint Youth Theater in Aladdin and Frozen Jr. Other credits include being cast as the Young Kangaroo in her school’s production of Seussical Jr. Olivia is a 3rd grader at Pardes Jewish Day School. When not on stage performing, she can be found dancing at Conservatory of Dance and singing in school talent shows and open mic nights at Bach To Rock. Olivia wants to thank her brother, dad, Bianka, and Kelsey for all of their love and support. She also wants to thank David and SMTC for opening this door!

Ryley Hansen (Ensemble) - Ryley is 14 and excited to work on his next production with SMTC. Previous roles include: Wickersham Brother in Seussical, Muleteer in Man of la Mancha, Splasher in Newsies, Fester in Addam's Family, and many others. In addition to his background in theater, he is an avid musician and plays the alto sax and clarinet in pit orchestras when not on stage. 

Jason Kereny (Ensemble) - Jason is thrilled to be back on the theatre stage. Jason’s singing career goes back two decades, with artists and touring bands including Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, Lemon Krayola, Size 5 and more. When he’s not performing backing vocals, Bass and Guitar, you’ll find Jason producing Nashville artist Ryan Bexley and local country singer, Rob West. Jason’s theatre career includes: You’re a Good Man Charlie BrownA Woman in MindCan’t Buy Me Love. Jason also sings 2nd Tenor for the 90 year old “Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix”. 

Lauren Koeritzer (Marian Paroo) - Lauren currently lives in Orange County, CA, but prior to that she called Arizona home and appeared in several shows with SMTC (Sarah Brown in Guys & Dolls, Grace Farrell in Annie, and That Irving Berlin Thing). She is so excited to collaborate with this talented group of performers again! Lauren has enjoyed performing in various theater and vocal engagements throughout the greater Los Angeles area this past year and a half. She also enjoys baking, puzzles, virtual happy hours, and a good book. Love and thanks to Kayla, Mom, Dad, and Drew.

Kendall Luther (Zaneeta) - Kendall is thrilled to be a part of The Music Man! She was last seen performing with SMTC in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Rita) and A Christmas Carol (Ghost of Christmas Future). Her most recent credits include Rapunzel in Into the Woods at Notre Dame Preparatory and Penny in They Chose Me at Valley Youth Theater. She’d like to thank the incredible cast and crew of The Music Man, Craig Bohmler, Laurie Trygg, and all of her friends and family for all of their love and support! “Enjoy the show!”

Patrick Mullen (Ensemble) - Patrick is thoroughly excited to be a part of his first show with SMTC. He was most recently seen performing with Greasepaint Youth Theatre in Spring Awakening. Other credits include Eddie in 13 at Spotlight Youth Theatre and Sammy in The Wedding Singer at Desert Stages. Patrick would like to thank David and all of the production crew for making this possible.

Matt Newhard (Harold Hill) - Matt is a 3rd generation Arizona native and has performed in over 50 shows across the valley, as well as an appearance at Carnegie Hall in New York. 'The Music Man' marks his 18th appearance with SMTC, and he is proud to have been with this company since its inception. Most recently for SMTC, he was seen as The Padre in Man of La Mancha and Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie. Estrella Paloma Para (Mrs. Alma Hix) - Estrella is thrilled to be performing with SMTC again! She was last seen in Man of la Mancha (Housekeeper) with SMTC. Previous credits: South Pacific (Bloody Mary) at Herberger Theatre Center, The King and I (Royal Wife) at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre, Fiddler on the Roof (Fruma Sarah) at Hale Center Theatre. Josh Pike (Ensemble) - Josh is a 16 year old Junior at Arizona Conservatory for Arts and Academics where he studies voice and musical theater. His most recent roles include Marius in Les Miserable (NYA nom), Lefou in Beauty and the Beast (AriZoni nom), and Dickon in Secret Garden (NYA nom). He has been acting and singing around the valley since he was 6 years old. In 2018, he received an NYA award for Jr Artist of the Year for his roles in Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Zebulon), Annie Jr. (Rooster), Aladdin Jr (Aladdin), Seussical (Jojo), and TLTW&TW (Tumnus). He is so happy to be back performing with Scottsdale Musical Theater Company and is grateful for the opportunity!

Alexus Poulette (Mrs. Maud Dunlop) - Alexus was last scene for SMTC in her standout performance as Aldonza opposite Peter Scolari in Man of La Mancha last year. Alexus is a graduate from Arizona State University and earned her BA in both theatre and psychology, and is currently attending Walden University to become a licensed professional counselor for marriage, couples, and families. She believes theatre and the arts are food for the soul and can shine light in the darkest corners of the spirit. Recent SMTC productions include Alice in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Mrs. Cratchitt in A Christmas Carol, Annie, West Side Story, Hello, Dolly! and Cabaret. She wishes to thank all her family and loved ones who continue to support her dreams!

Brielle Quintana (Ensemble) - Brielle is excited to be part of the The Music Man cast at Scottsdale Musical Theater Co. Brielle is a sophomore at Cicero Prep Academy where she was Brigitta in Sound of Music. Some of her favorite performances include Romeo in Newsies (DST): 13, The Musical (SYT); A Christmas Carol (SMTC); Summer in School of Rock (DST); Catch Me If You Can (DST); and Debbie Wilkinson in Billy Elliot (MET). Brielle loves performing and is the dance captain for HYREV Performing Group at Arizona Broadway Theatre.

Thom Ratke (Mayor Shinn) - This is Thom’s eleventh time around with SMTC and it's always a pleasure to be onstage with such a talented theater company. Thom is an Arizona native who started acting when he was 15 and has performed in professional, community and college theatre, film and commercials. Past notable roles include Sky Masterson (Guys &  Dolls), Andos (Philemon), Bert (Mary Poppins), Luther Billis (South Pacific), Wolf/Prince Charming (Into the Woods), Warden (Kiss of the Spider Woman), Captain of the Inquisition (Man of La Mancha) and Erronius (Something Funny Happened on the Way to the Forum).

Dylan Romero (Tommy Djilas) - Dylan is very grateful to be working with the Scottsdale Musical Theatre Company again. He was last seen in SMTC's Man of La Mancha. His favorite role to date has been Jack Kelly in “Newsies” (NYA) with Actors Youth Theatre in 2019. Dylan is super excited to get back on the horse with theater. Thank you to everyone who has been backing us!

Erin Deines Schumacher (Ensemble) - Erin  is 15 years old and is a student at ASU Prep Digital. She most recently  performed Dear Edwina (VYT) as Edwina, Tuck Everlasting (VYT) as Female Ensemble, They Chose Me (VYT) as Sarah, and A Christmas Carol (SMTC). She also has appeared in numerous Fountain Hills Theater productions such as Anne of Green Gables (Ruby Gillis), Narnia (Aslan) , A Christmas Carol (Martha Cratchit/Ensemble), and many others. Erin is also a member of the Danceplex Pre-Pro company. She would love to thank her voice coach, Paige Beckman for her everlasting support and knowledge. She would also like to thank her family and God for everything.

Ashlee Sparrow (Ensemble) - Ashlee is a third year member in the Horizon High School show choir. She has been dancing all styles since she was three. She has also been on a competition team at Conservatory of Dance for three years. Ashlee has been in a handle full of productions. The most recent include: Aladdin, Willy Wonka, Beauty and the Beast, and The Sound Of Music. Ashlee is extremely excited about being a part of The Music Man and would like to thank her dance teacher, Kelsey Metz, and the director, David Hock, for this amazing opportunity.

Cameron Swindler (Ensemble) - Cameron is so glad that live theater is re-opening and is thrilled to be a part of Scottsdale Musical Theater Company's first show since...it's been too long. He's previously appeared in SMTC's productions of A Christmas Carol, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and The Pajama Game, as well as many other musicals around the Valley, before taking a year off to study in Germany. He wants to thank David and Kelsey for "welcoming him home" by including him in this fun production of one of his favorite shows.

Evan Vance (Winthrop) - Evan is excited for his 2nd SMTC show.  He was previously seen in A Christmas Carol (Tiny Tim).  He is now 12 and in the 7th grade at Arizona School for the Arts.  Previous credits include being a part of the children's chorus in Arizona Opera’s La Boheme, Valley Youth Theater performances of The Hobbit and Madagascar and numerous shows with Art and Sol. When not performing, Evan enjoys playing tennis, guitar, video games and skiing. “I would like to thank David and the cast and crew of The Music Man, Tom and my family for all of their help!”

Sydney Vance (Ensemble) - Sydney Vance is excited for her SMTC debut.  She previously played Small Alison in Phoenix Theatre’s Fun Home and has also been seen in Valley Youth Theatre’s Princess and the Pea, They Chose Me and Madagascar. She is 16 and in 10th grade at Arizona School for the Arts where she studies musical theater and is part of student government and yearbook clubs. When not singing and dancing she enjoys playing tennis, piano and making funny faces.  She wants to thank her family and Kait for all of their love and support and of course, David and SMTC for this opportunity!

Adrian Ward, Jr. (Ensemble) - Adrian was born and raised in Memphis, TN and moved to Arizona in 2012. He graduated form the University of Tennessee with a BFA and concentration in Theatre. He has experience with stage combat in addition to his singing and dancing talents. Recently he's been developing the Drama ministry with his church. The Music Man will be Adrian's first show with Scottsdale Musical Theater Company in hopes of many more!

Alexa Wilson (Ensemble) - This is Alexa's first production with SMTC and she's very excited. Alexa has been a studio and competition dancer for the past 11 years. She has worked with Manhattan Dance Project, Conservatory of Dance and has assisted with SMTC. She is thrilled to be starting something new and to be a  part of this show. Alexa can't wait to see what happens in the future.
